A fanlisting is a place to list all fans of a certain topic, for anything one can possibly think of ~ including our dear Kyouraku Shunsui! For more information on fanlistings see the anime fanlistings and the fanlistings.org. Shunsui is the Captain of the 8th Division of the Shinigami. He's a laid-back, amiable sort of person with a penchant for the ladies (especially his dear, dear Nanao-chan, and despite her efforts to divert his attentions), showers of sakura petals and extremely wicked twin swords. He can alwasy be spotted in a crowd, with his wide straw hat and the flowered pink robe he wears over his Captain's jacket. But underneath the flamboyant scoundrel rests a heart of gold, a resigned sort of idealism, and a very sharp mind. He's part of the older generation of Captains that includes Ukitake and Aizen; he and Ukitake were taught personally by Yamaji. He is one of the most powerful shinigami but also one of the kindest, and he seems to have struck a comfortable balance, although apparently he is often scolded by Yamaji for acting against the shinigami 'code'. Akio Ootsuka is the seiyuu for our beloved Shunsui in the anime version of Bleach. Not only does he LOOK a heck of a lot like the man himself, but he voices Shunsui perfectly. That slightly drunken slur, his joking but quick-to-get-serious voice...in all honesty it fits almost exactly to the voice I had envisioned him to have.
